From Call to Action-USA:
Call To Action’s national conference is an annual homecoming. Thousands of progressive Catholics from around the country and abroad come together to create the largest gathering of progressive Catholics in the United States.
In Milwaukee, you’ll find inspiration in a wide range of speakers and presentations –especially our three keynote speakers. Shane Claiborne will share how he puts his faith in action working for non-violence, service to the poor, and a simpler way of life. Asra Nomani will offer a unique perspective as she works for inclusive reform in the Muslim tradition. Joan Chittister returns to the Call To Action family gathering with her perspective on the emerging prophets of the day.
In addition to these three inspirational spirits, the conference weekend will be packed with events, presentations, exhibits, and worship opportunities that guarantee to enlighten the mind and empower the soul.
Please join us in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from Nov. 5-7. Thousands of your Call To Action sisters and brothers will be waiting to celebrate your spirit, inspire you to work for justice, and to simply say, “Welcome home!”

IYJL & CTA:
Each year at the Call To Action National Conference, it is our tradition to share half of the Sunday collection from our closing liturgy with an organization that is deeply committed to working for justice either within the Catholic Church or on a broader scale.
This year, I’m so excited to let you know that the Board of Directors of Call To Action has chosen Immigrant Youth Justice League to be the recipient of this gift this year. We feel that your organization truly embodies our theme this year (Faithful Prophets: God Alive in Every Generation). One of CTA’s deepest values is that our church and our society should be places of radical welcome and solidarity with all people & that differences in race, age, sexual orientation, language, culture, religion, etc. are a gift to be celebrated and an opportunity for every member of the community to grow and be enriched. Although we live within systems rooted in fear, greed and exclusivity, we must continue the struggle. The immigration reform movement and IYJL is a powerful example of solidarity and the possibility of creating a society rooted in justice and love for everyone.
The Immigrant Youth Justice League is a non-for-profit 501 (c) 3 organization.
